Four Type of Belt Conveyor 

Belt conveyor is an indispensable component of the transmission system. The belt acts as the traction medium to drive the continuous operation of the working face and maintain the efficiency of material distribution. Therefore, enterprises should master the type of belt conveyor in detail, and strictly standardize the conveying operation process of equipment. The common types and applications of belt conveyors are described in detail below. Machinery manufacturing industry has chosen high-performance metal materials and high-tech processing technology, which has completely changed the original model of conveyor. At present, the belt conveyor has developed many types of equipment, enterprises can choose reasonably according to practical application. According to the author's work experience, the common types of belt conveyor are fixed, hanging, telescopic, etc. The specific types and functions are described as follows:

1) Fixed type

It belongs to a common conveyor, and can be applied to material transportation in many industries. It has the characteristics of universality. Taking coal mining production as an example, the frame of this conveyor is fixed on the floor or on the basis, and is mostly used in inclined shaft, main underground roadway and coal preparation plant. Universal conveyor has obvious drawbacks. It is not flexible enough to move or erect errors. Its rubber bandwidth is 1600mm, 1400mm, 1200mm, l000mm, 800mm and other types.

2. Hanging type

This kind of conveyor can be used to transport up and down the trough and mining area. Its characteristics are that the upper and lower supporting rollers and hangers in the middle part of the conveyor are installed on two parallel steel ropes. The steel ropes and hangers are hanged on the top beam by hangers. The height of the fuselage can be adjusted to ensure the safety of personnel operation. It is suitable for resource development and production in mountainous areas. The rope hanger belt conveyor can be used to complete long-distance transportation, and convey timber, ore, tools and so on in accordance with the requirements.

3. Telescopic type

The conveyor is actually more equipped with a storage bin and a set of storage belt device than the general fixed belt conveyor. When the tail of the mobile conveyor expands, the belt storage device can release or store a certain length of tape with a bandwidth of 1200 mm, 1000 mm and 650 mm. The retractable belt conveyor saves the space, shrinks and stretches flexibly in use, and reduces the occupied space of equipment operation.

4. Wire type

The durability of this kind of belt conveyor is better, which is mainly reflected in the optimization of the belt structure, and the steel wire is embedded in the belt to enhance the tensile strength of the belt transmission. When choosing steel belt for conveyor, it is necessary to select suitable length, width and thickness of belt as transmission medium according to the weight carried by the conveyor in order to ensure the orderly process of steel belt conveyor. Usually, the rubber bandwidth of small and medium-sized transmitters is 400-800 mm, and that of large-sized transmitters must be 1200 mm.
